According to Ayurveda, this seasonal transition is governed by Kapha dosha - the elements of earth + water. Through specific Yoga and Ayurvedic practices, we can balance the Kapha that exists within each of us to invoke stability, strength and inspiration. This workshop is like spring cleaning for your body, mind, and spirit. 2 CEU hours for YA teachers. Sign up for all 3 seasonal workshops and gain 6 CEU hours.
Do you ever feel nervous or unsure about how to support a pregnant yoga student in your general yoga classes? Have you wanted to learn more about the pregnancy experience and the shifts that take place in the pregnant body?
In this 5-hour immersion, you will learn how to effectively modify your yoga class and support the pregnant yoga student with confidence and compassion. Yoga teachers earn 5 CEU hours for Yoga Alliance.

Through Yoga and Ayurveda practices we can shift from being overheated in the mind and body to a cool, calm, and collected awareness during the summer months.
After a brief discussion on Ayurveda and the 3 doshas, we will practice a 90-minute Yoga master class tailored specifically to ground and balance the fiery, busy Pitta dosha that is present during the summer season. You can expect to practice asana (poses) and pranayama (breathing practices) to soothe and ground the body and mind.

Join Chelsea for this 2 hour workshop where you’ll practice asana (yoga poses), pranayama (breath control), and meditation in addition to creating your own self-massage oil for the fall / Vata season. You’ll walk away with various daily and seasonal practices (dinacharya and ritucharya) that invite you to go deeper within- settling the mind and the body so you can connect back to yourself.

As the season sporadically shifts from winter to spring in the northeast, we can often feel sluggish and heavy (physically, emotionally, mentally) - mirroring the damp, dense weather outside. It’s not uncommon to feel stagnant or unmotivated with the rebirth of spring. According to Ayurveda, this seasonal transition is governed by Kapha dosha - the elements of earth + water. Wear something you can move, sweat, and breathe comfortably in.
Following our Kapha Yoga class, we will discuss what an Abhyanga, self-massage, practice is and how to best practice at home. You will mix your own Abhyanga oil specifically for balancing Kapha. Bring your own base oil, your choice of essential oils that are Kapha pacifying, and an old hand towel. A list of base oils and essential oils for Kapha season will be sent to you in advance.
Oil in Sanskrit is “sneha” - another word for love. Join Chelsea to gain some supportive self-love tools to elevate and revitalize your spirit during this seasonal transition into spring.

This two hour Yoga and Ayurveda workshop includes a 90 minute yoga class focused specifically on balancing, cooling and grounding the body and mind during the busy, fiery summer season - where Pitta dosha can easily be thrown out of balance.
